Algorithm for Happiness?
Have you considered your happiness lately? I mean, given it more than a passing thought? It has come into my consciousness in a big way several times over the last few months, giving me that metaphorical slap round the head in a 'Look at me!' kind of way.
It started with the governmental well being study in 2015 and 2016 to measure how satisfied we are with our lives (the pre and post referendum statistics will be published this Autumn, fyi), then a friend gave me Gretchen Rubin's Happiness Project book and now the Google exec's Algorithm for Happiness video, whizzing around Facebook. If you haven't yet seen it, click on the image below:
I believe happiness is crucial actually, because who wants to go through life being miserable? (When your loved ones die, they wouldn't want you to be unhappy for long, would they?)
Happiness will also have a beneficial effect on it's cousin, Feeling Good, and vice versa, and that can only be good for your wellbeing. IMHO, I think happiness is infectious and best shared. If by sharing our own happiness, we help others to be happy, then how fabulous is that? Count me in! #happinesswarrior
